Shana McDermottAssistant Professor
Dr. Shana McDermott is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Trinity University. Trained as an applied microeconomist from the University of Wyoming, her research focuses on jointly determined human and natural systems, and developing policy that will enable humans to manage natural resources better. Her current research topics include assessing invasive species management, evaluating climate change policy, and understanding the link between the environment and human health. Before coming to Trinity, Dr. McDermott was an assistant professor at the University of New Mexico, a Senior Research Associate for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and a postdoctoral research associate at Dartmouth College in the departments of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Environmental Studies.
