Prof. Diana Mangalagiu

Diana Mangalagiu

Diana Mangalagiu is Professor at the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford and Neoma Business School, France. She has a dual background, in natural sciences (Ph.D. Artificial Intelligence, Ecole Polytechnique, MSc Engineering) and social sciences (MSc Sociology, MSc Management). Her interest is in sustainability and the articulation of environmental and socioeconomic policies in public policy and corporate settings and she has extensively published in fundamental and applied areas. She co-founded the Initiative for Science, Society and Policy Dialogue and is a scientific board member of the Global Climate Forum, Integrated Risk Governance Project, EU Science with and for Society, Sustainable Biomass Partnership and Global System Dynamics and Policy. Prof.Mangalagiu co-chaired the pan-European Environmental Outlook (GEO6) of the UNEP. She leads and participates in advisory, research and development projects with national and regional governments, firms and World Bank, OECD and UN agencies. Diana is French and Romanian national. Through her travels, she became fluent in seven languages.
