Dr. Marcela Uhart is an Argentinian veterinarian, based in Patagonia, Argentina. She is the Director of the Latin American Program at the Wildlife Health Center, University of California, Davis since 2013. She has been working on One Health, wildlife health and biodiversity conservation in South America for the past 27 years. She is a member of the Coordinator for the IUCN Wildlife Health Specialist Group in South America and a member of the Working Group on Wildlife for the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE). She was founder and chair of the Latin America Section of the Wildlife Disease Association and later served as Vice-president, President and Past-President of the organization, for which she received the Ed Addison Distinguished Service Award in 2018.
