Save the date: Additional review of the summary for policymakers of the assessment on values

Dear IPBES members,
I am pleased to announce that the summary for policymakers of the IPBES assessment on values will be open for an additional review by Governments from 4 to 29 October 2021.
The IPBES Plenary, at IPBES 8, decided, notwithstanding section 3.1 and related provisions of the procedures for the preparation of IPBES deliverables, to enable Governments to undertake an additional review of the summary for policymakers of the assessment report on the methodological assessment regarding the diverse conceptualization of multiple values of nature and its benefits, including biodiversity and ecosystem functions and services (IPBES-8/1).
Information on how to register as a reviewer and access the documents will be shared with IPBES national focal points at the beginning of the review period.
The Plenary will be invited to consider the summary for policymakers of this assessment for approval and its chapters for acceptance at IPBES 9.
