Dear IPBES members,

With reference to notification EM/2023/48 (6 November 2023) I would like to remind you to submit nominations of candidates for election to the IPBES Committee on Conflicts of Interest by 19 January 2024. Candidates are sought from members of IPBES from each of the five UN regions.

The IPBES Plenary adopted the conflict-of-interest policy and implementation procedures at its third session (annex II to decision IPBES-3/3). The overall purpose of this policy is to protect the legitimacy, integrity and credibility of the Platform and its deliverables, as well as to ensure confidence in its activities and in individuals who are directly involved in the preparation of its reports and other deliverables.

Members of the conflict of interest committee should have experience and seniority comparable, if possible, to Bureau members. Nominations should be made by IPBES national focal points, by completing the nomination form at https://www.ipbes.net/application/members-of-the-committee-on-conflict-…, including the submission of a curriculum vitae of the nominee.

All nominations will be automatically acknowledged by email. Questions regarding this process can be sent to [email protected]

Yours sincerely,

Dr Anne Larigauderie | Executive Secretary
Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES)
