Extension of deadline for nomination of experts and fellows (monitoring assessment) and fellows (task force on scenarios and models)

Dear IPBES members, observers and other interested stakeholders,

We wish to draw your attention to the below calls for which the deadline is approaching:

  • EM/2023/36: Call for nominations for experts for the methodological assessment on monitoring biodiversity and nature’s contributions to people
  • EM/2023/38: Call for nominations for fellows for the methodological assessment on monitoring biodiversity and nature’s contributions to people
  • EM/2023/39: Call for nominations of fellows for the IPBES task force on scenarios and models.

Further information about the requisite expertise and the application and nomination process is available in the above linked calls.

Prospective experts and fellows wishing to be nominated by a Government are encouraged to contact their IPBES National Focal Point (https://www.ipbes.net/national-focal-points) regarding any country specific processes or deadlines and are requested to fill out their application form by the extended deadline of 9 January 2024

Nominators (Governments or organizations) should submit the nominations of all Nominees, which they would like to support, by the extended deadline of 19 January 2024. Early nominations ahead of this deadline are encouraged. I thank you in advance for your nominations and your continued support to IPBES.

Yours sincerely,

Dr Anne Larigauderie | Executive Secretary
Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES)
