Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Planning and Development created an online platform to track pollinators and pests inspired by IPBES assessment

Description of Impact(s) (English Only) As part of the action plan to promote pollinators which was developed through the BES-Net’s Caribbean Regional Trialogue on Pollinators, Food Security and Climate Resilience (based on the IPBES Pollination Assessment), a participatory online platform was established to track useful and harmful species. The platform encourages the general public to take photos of the animal species on plants and upload on the site as “citizen scientists” to help scientists record and identify pollinators and pests across the countries.
