Both researchers' and communities' viewpoints on how to conserve biodiversity do matter. Both need to be seriously considered to enhance the desired transformational change, which the United Nations seeks to bring about in biodiversity conservation. Indeed, community peoples' knowledge needs to be prioritized in debates on biodiversity conservation at all levels. While it is not only necessary to bring local people to the round table, it is much more sufficient to sincerely listen to them and do their bidding as well.
