Solution of shrinkages of water bodies in cities by implementing city biodiversity index and BDES valuation
Rural-urban migration, unplanned infrastructure and residential building developments are the severe problems facing specially by the cities of papidly developing economies. As a result, the water bodies in the cities are getting shrinked in extremely high rates negetively impacting the ecosystem servies and biodiversities of these urban areas. How BDES valuation assessments for cities can solve these problems ? Could it be mandatory to implement city biodiversity index (CBI or Singapore index) for these cities giving more importance on the indicators based on water- biodiversity-climate linkages?
