Indigenous peoples’ consultation on the IPBES participatory mechanism

The Indigenous peoples’ consultation on the participatory mechanism brought together global representatives of indigenous peoples to discuss and make recommendations about the IPBES participatory mechanism, including participation activities throughout the IPBES assessment cycle, and governance issues. The recommendations were then discussed at both the IPBES capacity building forum and the 7th meeting of the IPBES task force on indigenous and local knowledge, and were presented to the 12th MEP and bueau meeting to inform discussions on the next IPBES work programme.
