I am from Ethiopia, have a Bsc and MSc in livestock and pastoralists development from Mekelle University, Ethiopia and a PhD from the Norwegian University of Life sciences An Ethiopian. I have taught courses in rangeland ecology and management, pastoralist development and research methods to graduate and undergraduate students. I worked as a post doctoral fellow at the United Nations Environment Program, International Ecosystem Management Partnership (UNEP-IEMP) in Beijing, China. I am currently a research coordinator to a Bill and Melinda Gate's Foundation-funded international project at the University of Florida, USA. I am passionate science and indigenous knowledge interface and pastoral/ livestock and rural development in developing countries.
