Survey targeting IPBES national focal points and stakeholders

The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete and will be available online until 29 May 2020.

In this survey, we would like to hear from governments and non-governmental stakeholders on the use of the IPBES conceptual framework. We are interested in understanding whether the conceptual framework fulfilled the key roles envisaged by the IPBES Plenary. The IPBES conceptual framework aims at providing a theoretical background and promoting legitimacy, relevance and credibility of the work of IPBES as follows:

  • Provide a common and inclusive representation and terminology regarding the relationships between people and nature, to facilitate the engagement of a large and diverse set of stakeholders (e.g. the scientific community, governments, organisations, and civil society); and

  • Facilitate the involvement of different scientific disciplines (natural, social, humanities, engineering sciences), and different knowledge systems (science, indigenous and local knowledge, etc.).
