Dear IPBES members, observers and other interested stakeholders,

In notification EM/2021/24 it was announced that IPBES 9 is scheduled to be held from 3 to 9 July 2022 in Bonn, Germany, and further information on the preparatory process for IPBES 9 was provided in notification EM/2021/36.

As one of the steps in the preparatory process for IPBES 9, the draft deliverables for objectives 2, 3 and 4 of the IPBES rolling work programme up to 2030, as well as the workplans for IPBES task forces for the intersessional period 2022–2023 are made available for review. Following the review, these elements will be finalized and made available for consideration by the Plenary at IPBES 9, under item 8 of the provisional agenda on building capacity, strengthening knowledge foundations and supporting policy.

If you would like to participate as reviewer in this external review, please follow these steps:

  1. Register as user of the IPBES website (https://ipbes.net/user/register if you have not already done so;
  2. Apply to participate in the review at https://ipbes.net/registration/task-force-wp/ipbes9 (this will only work when logged in first as IPBES website user);
  3. Once registered, you will immediately receive an email providing confidential access to the draft documents and will be requested to submit your comments in English using the template that is available on the same webpage.
  4. Submit comments to [email protected] no later than 17 January 2022.
