Implementation of the capacity-building rolling plan and contributions by strategic partners and collaborative supporters
Overview of implementation of the capacity-building rolling plan and contributions by stragetic partners and contributing supporters for 2017-2019
Introduction
The task force on capacity-building is undertaking an incremental approach to building collaboration and engagement with the wide range of organizations and institutions involved in capacity-building activities relating directly to the IPBES work programme and the identified priority capacity-building needs approved by the IPBES Plenary. To mobilize resources and work with organizations and institutions in a transparent manner, a call for support to the implementation of activities under the three priority areas of the capacity-building rolling plan (learning materials, uptake of approved assessments, and guidance on establishing (sub-) regional science-policy platforms and networks on biodiversity and ecosystem services) and to stimulate the process of developing communities of practice was launched in March 2018.
