Review of the draft terms of reference for a midterm review of the 2030 rolling work programme of IPBES

Dear IPBES members, observers and other interested stakeholders,

The IPBES Plenary, at IPBES 9, in decision IPBES-9/1, section VI, in the context of improving the effectiveness of the assessment process (objective 6 (c) of the IPBES rolling work programme up to 2030), noted with appreciation the progress made by the Bureau and the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel in developing terms of reference for a midterm review of the 2030 rolling work programme of IPBES, which will be conducted between the tenth and twelfth sessions of the Plenary, and invited members, observers and other stakeholders to provide their comments on the draft terms of reference to the secretariat by 31 August 2022.

The draft terms of reference are set out in the annex to document IPBES/9/11, available here and on the IPBES 9 document website here.
